Galvalume steel is also called Aluminum-Zinc Alloy Coated Steel,aluminized zinc steel(aluzinc steel),SGLC,The galvalume metal is composed of 55% aluminium, 43.4% zinc and 1.6% silicon solidified at 600 ~C. Its whole structure consists of aluminium-iron-silicon-zinc, forming a compact quaternary crystal alloy.

The corrosion resistance of "galvalume steel pipes" is mainly due to the protective function of aluminum. When the zinc is worn, the aluminum forms a layer of dense alumina that prevents the corrosion-resistant material from further corroding the interior. There is a test was carried out under the premise of hot-dip galvalume steel sheets and galvanized steel sheets of the same thickness, plating layer and surface treatment method. Aluminized zinc has excellent corrosion resistance than hot-dip galvanizing, and its service life is 2-6 times that of ordinary galvanized steel.
